United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black
Finance or Cash?

Hi All,
I'm thinking of "dipping a toe" into the possibility of selling my 2015MY 4.4SDV8 Autobiography and replacing it with a new 2017MY 5.0V8 SS Autobiography.
I've had a look at the Carwow site and received quotes with 5.6% discount for cash but up to 7.9% if I take finance.
The finance options are bewildering (including Land Rover Freedom PCP, Hire Purchase, Advanced Payment Plan, Balloon Hire Purchase and Business Contract Hire).
Does anyone have experience of taking out finance (to get the higher initial discount) and then paying it off almost immediately?
I suspect I know the answer but I need to explore all the options as my next purchase will need to last me for the next 8 years or so.
Also, is 5.6% the likely best discount I could expect for a cash purchase?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Tony If it ain't broken, fix it till it is.

It's worth noting that on the FFRR, LR Finance offer currently a £5k deposit contribution which is based on £2500 from LR & £2500 from the dealer. This makes quite a significant difference to the purchase price as is basically a 5% discount as a starting point (based on the purchase price of the car i've ordered).

The best i got on top of this was a further £3k discount based on some CarWow quotes i presented to the dealer i chose, but i also got the 1st service thrown in for free & Complete Wheelcare at cost so saving a further maybe £600.

I'm 95% sure you can take the relevant finance out to get the additional £5k discount & then pay it off within 14-28days attracting no interest on the funding.
