Odd things just started. Front speakers faded out. Used fade control and can't bring back front speakers. Checked the balance and it works normal until you get to the far left and then the volume is all on the right. Station presets don't seem to hold either. Any suggestions? |

I'll give it a check. Knowing that it is possible to have connections get lose is helpful. |

It appears I have the Logic 7 version. Good to know. Anyone know how the plastic connection releases? Don't want to force old plastic. I've read that this corrosion is from a bad tailgate/liftgate seal. My seal is a one piece seal that is for both the tailgate and liftgate. Is this the gasket in question and is this what a failed gasket does? I've never had any water in the back or in the spare tire well. Sorry about the rotated picture.

Ok finally got around to pull the logic 7 connector. lots of green oxidation. Cleaned well both ends. No change. This is not my strong point. Any way to troubleshoot and at least isolate it to the offending box? Just as an update to symptoms when shifting balance all to left sound is weak and thin. Front speaker have not returned and this appears to include everything from front doors forward. Yesterday sound was rolling from left far rear speaker to all the other speakers minus the fronts. All other connectors were clean. |

This corrosion is definitely caused from water ingress. Try cleaning it all with contact cleaner and you might be lucky. |

At first there was no change. A few minutes later I tried again and without the unit on I get this heavy base thumping coming from all speakers. Had to disconnect the cable to the logic 7 unit for it to stop. I had pulled off the side plate to look in but didn't see any corrosion. Anyone know if this is a common logic 7 issue? |
