L405 how many batteries

I hope that someone can help me with this please.

I recently bought an MY2015 Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 and I'm curious how many batteries I have and, if there are two, what each of them is used for. I know that the main battery is under the spare wheel in the boot and a Landrover technician told me that I have two batteries and that the smaller one in the side of the boot area is only for the stop/start system but my car doesn't have a stop/start system.

Could someone please explain to me what I have?

You have two

The main one is underneath the spare - there is probably a carpet panel over the top of it, making it difficult to locate, but it's here -

There is a second one is in the side panel of the boot -

I believe they are disconnected when the engine is off and the accessories run of the smaller battery in the boot, thus protecting the starting battery

There's also a jump post under the bonnet, that connects to the main battery. I have an Anderson connector & CTEK connector on mine, but its under the cap -

This becoming more common across brands too.

I have a DOCO GB70 boost jump starter as well - just incase.

It does have power management system in place and will tell you that the car needs starting as batt. is low.

I have a good ctek charger too that has an AGM mode, as my other vehicles have odyssey AGM batteries in them.

2015 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Havana

SDV8 models run 2 full size batteries, as do cold climate market vehicles

On SDV8 models both batteries are brought in for cranking of the engine

Vehicles with stop\start had a smaller battery behind the side panel that was used to stabilise voltage when the engine cranked coming out of an eco stop

The secondary battery has been replaced with a capacitor now
