Hi all I am after a 120ah agm battery for my ff - will any fit?

Get out a tape measure and see... just measure how much room is around the battery you have and take it from there...

The 020 size will definitely fit yours. Looks to me like AGM batteries in that size are all 105aH.

That size is 393mm (L) x 175mm (D) x 190mm (H)

You might get something very slight longer in, but only a few mms. This size is already 40mm longer than the battery that was fitted in the factory. The depth really needs to be the right size so that the battery clamps will hold it in place. The height is where there is more scope for a bigger battery. but you'll need to measure carefully to see what will fit. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Stick with an 020 and if you want more power then add an 019 in the boot!

The reason I ask isn't because mine is bad - but if you leave the sidelights on for 5 minutes (no joke) it's completely flat.

Thought I had a serious problem and realised some dufus had fitted a 90ah battery. Debating weather to go for 110ah normal or 105 agm any thoughts?

The 019 is the std battery for the petrol cars... but they have the same battery tray as the diesel that sports the 020, so it will fit. If your battery is old or has been totally drained then it probably isn't holding charge properly... even if it has enough to start the car, it still might not be a full charge, which should start the car several times in succession without any trouble. The fact that 5 mins on the side lights is enough to kill yours, sort of makes me think that either your battery is fubar'd or you have a large drain still going when the car is switched off Shocked

If you know the age of the battery and it's still within warranty I would suggest that you get it checked...

If it's or an unknown age or old then I would opt for an 020 if the car is used regularly (once a week for more that 20 minutes) or an H15 (agm) if the car sits around for longer periods of time without use, as the AGM handle being heavily discharged and recharged better than a normal battery.. Basically they are a leisure battery (caravan) and will take this abuse better.

Now if your battery is newish, or tested good (drop test.. imposes a large load on a fully charged battery and monitors the drain) Then you need to be looking at the known things that can cause a drain when the car is left to it's own devices... the common things are the entertainment system in the boot getting wet, and the BCM getting wet. If you leave the parcel shelf open and remove the N/S / left / passenger (rhd) boot panel off the car and lock it, the red light on the nav should go out after 10 mins, also the red light in the centre console should extinguish too. If either is still on after 30 minutes then you've a problem that requires further investigation Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
