Not sure what will happen after Brexit to be honest. If the fine goes 100% to the country issuing the fine then I can see the directive being ignored however if DVLA were to get a % of the fine for admin costs or some other silly condition then I can see the government adopting it as an additional source of revenue ... sorry I mean additional source of promoting road safety. 2008 TDV8
