Having issues with the electric steering colum is part of L322 ownership isn't it?

Well looks like this week is my cars turn...


So I adjust the wheel to where I like it. Press the memory button on the seat then select one of the numbers to store the settings. All is well...However when I turn the car off and the car tries to do it's courtesy/comfort program and wind the wheel all the way up and back, it seems to forget halfway through. Sometimes it manages to wind the wheel all the way back but most of the time it just stops halfway.
I have tested the electronic motors for up/down and in/out and they work well with no hesitation. So why's it failing to suck the wheel back when I try to exit the vehicle?

Also when I get back into the car, it doesn't always come back to the programmed position. Then if you hold one of the numbered memory buttons on the seat it doesn't adjust the wheel back to the programmed position. Like it's forgotten the settings for that number, but it hasn't because the seat still goes into the correct position. It's just the wheel it forgets.

I'm going to turn this off via IIDTool for the time being because it's annoying as and I'm afraid it might be failing. Having said that, this function is useful and I will miss it. So would like to re-enable it and carry on using it. It's worth nothing I've had the car for almost a year and this problem has only started occupying regularly over the last week or 2! Jordan
