That equates to about 21mpg (imperial). Depending on your length of journeys and driving style, that could be about right. If you reading that from the dash display, it probably won't be very accurate. The only real way to tell is brim to brim tank refill and measure how much fuel was used and miles travelled.

If you would like to improve slightly, you might consider disabling the EGR valve, which is very easy on the TD6. All you need to do is pull the vacuum hose from the EGR valve (front, top, left side of the engine as viewed from the driver's seat). It might be a good idea to plug the (now loose) vacuum hose with a suitable screw and a bit of grease or some sealant. Easily reversible later if you ever want to. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

21 MPG sounds a bit low to me for a TD6 but then if it is just slow stop start driving then it is 2.5 tonnes you are moving.
Has it been serviced regularly ?

My TD6 returns about 23mpg no matter how I drive. Even after a 2000 mile round trip last summer which was mostly motorway & mostly using cruise control I only got 24mpg.

I own the car for a month +-.
I have bought a service kit with all the engine filters and recently I inspect the air filter which was a completly mess.
I installed a new one and no improvement in the consuption.

About the EGR removal, it is better to remove completly the EGR as on the TD5 or just disable it as you mention?
Left side from RHD (UK) or LHD (EU)?

What about remap, it's na improvement? Worth it the 200€?
the car is very fast and very light on city trafic and if I need to overtake another car.

Your fuel consumption is about right for stop / start town driving.... the ffrr is a heavy lump to get moving and uses a lot of fuel to get the show on the road... once it's rolling it should be returning about 30 MPG @ 60-70 mph... more if you turn off the air con.... I did manage 33.6 on one run at 70

And after EAS failure in Birmingham (MAX 50 MPH on the screen of Doom) it was returning 36.9 mpg @ 50 mph all the way down the M6 and the M1... that was until all the air went and I had to reduce my speed to 35 MPH and take to the back roads If I'd have ignored the screen of Doom and done 70 mph I'd have got home before running out of air

Also tyre pressures can have a big effect on your consumption.. because of the towing that I was doing I ran my car on higher pressures (36 psi front / 40 psi rear) which I believe helped with the fuel usage Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Jees I don't feel so bad about my 24ish MPG out of mine at the moment now.

Although being honest, I was hoping for a little more, seems I was spoiled with my 2.5 TD Nissan Navara which also weight about 2.5 tons and I was getting close to 35 MPG average, but it's all about the smiles per miles these days....

It had very mixed journeys, a lot of country roads / motorways and equally as much town work. My previous supercharged Jag was equally as bad.
In fairness I did see 28mpg out of it once. That was after driving like a granny for 70 miles, which was boring. Although it probably didn't help it had a tuning box thing that was disconnected on Mikey's advice.

I'll have a look later and let you know what the TDV8 has averaged as I've never re-set the thing.

I consistently get 26 mpg from my TD6, generally do a share of motorway, country and town. Average speed is 38 mph (so I do between 0 and 70 !)

Saw 78 mpg once just after resetting having filled up with diesel, but that soon dropped  .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

The very worst that I have managed was 19.3... towing in central London, normal towing 21.5... normal driving around Milton Keynes which is major stop start I get 26 ish and on a run 29-30 with A/C 33 without..... But I'm getting 38 normal in the Mercedes ML and 26 towing, so for some inexplicable reason the Range Rover doesn't get used that much  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
