Pirelli Scorpions 255/55-20 and quite happy with them.

I would not consider 21"/22" for winter driving over here, but probably fine for less wintery regions.

At that size they may be the Verde scorpions. These differ from the ones fitted to the L322 which are Zeros.

Though some say the zeros are all season, they are really only summer tyres. The Verde, as fitted to the 405 however are actually badged as all season tyres, and will handle snow much better. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well, mine are Scorpion Winters, so "real" winter tyres Wink

My take on 4 season tyres is that they are not great in summer, as compared to proper summer tyres, and pretty bad in winter. But again, for areas with mild winters you may get away with just one set..

My car was delivered Dec -15 on Scorpion Verdes and the first thing I did, was to replace them with the Winters. I then got the 22" Contis for summer.

Why not ? What advantage do you get from the extra sidewall ? Is it just flex for hitting things ?

It's more the width. Smaller footprint gives higher specific pressure and better grip on slippery surface (in winter).
