Good morning everybody.
Im a newbie to this forum and picked up my new (to me) fully loaded 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE yesterday which I must say is a fantastic car and a huge step forward over my previous L322 model.
I have a question though over the queue assist which it has fitted, ive read the info and understand that it will bring the car to a stop then follow the car in front, stop start, but not sure I have the balls to actually test it for the first time!
Assuming you have to be going at least 24mph before the active cruise will switch on (ive used this and its great) I know it will maintain the gap as per display on the dash, but assuming it does actually slow down to a dead stop im guessing it doesn't retain this same gap when stopped otherwise other cars would jump in the space?
I would love to hear from anyone that uses this function to give me the confidence to try it...

Works fine - first few times you will have your foot hovering ver the brake pedal.

Also, be aware, that it needs to have recognised the car in front already - there will be a yellow light on your dash. It would quite happily allow you to plough into something that isn't moving......

Works like a dream for me too.
I also agree that it's wise to check the little yellow light.
If you're worried about the gap to the car in front it's easy enough to press the gap reduction button to minimum.
It won't restart moving though until (IIRC) you blip the throttle pedal. If it ain't broken, fix it till it is.

The gap does narrow - you sit about 5 foot off the rear of the car in front.

CF is correct, you have to touch the accelerator if the car comes to a complete halt. Once you do that, it follows the car ahead but it accelerates quite slowly - probably more slowly than you'd choose. I normally tickle it on a bit harder.

Also be aware that, when at a complete stop, it will have the brake lights glaring out at the car behind you. If, like me you'd prefer not to blind the person behind and flip the handbrake on, it will cancel the ACC.

It is pretty good for slow moving traffic but isn't very good at feathering the brakes to come to a smooth stop - there is often a bit of a jolt as you come to a halt. I tend to use it in traffic down to about 5mph then I take over.
