door open bong bong

sorry if this has been asked, but couldn't find it.

How do you disable the constant bong bong when a door is open (2012 model) - only had the RR a couple of days and it's doing my head in. Big Cry
I have looked on the IID but couldn't see it. Regards
Mark

Where is the sounder? Can it be disconnected?

Many years ago, while I was away on holiday, my 2IC got annoyed with the bong from my company car (he had it whilst acting manager) and put an isolating switch in so it could be turned off. (We are both electronics techs by trade.).

I hate the L322 bong, too. Ron B. VK2OTC

It probably does but that's not a problem here. Laughing 37C/99F here today, 41C/106F expected tomorrow.

Making it switchable would be OK. Switch it off when one wants the door open. Ron B. VK2OTC

I my not be remembering this correctly as I find the door bong very useful for when one isn't fully closed. But do you not have to be sitting with the ignition on and a door open for it to bong - why would you be doing that? I'm not really bothered but I am bored so thought I might ask anyway Very Happy Geoff

Hi Guys - Yes you can Thumbs Up

Turned it off on mine ages ago. Could not remember where it was so just spent 10 mins in the car going through the options.

With the IIDtool : config -LCM light control (don’t ask me why it's in this one) it's just after the FMH (follow me home settings) - option reads "warning if keys left in ignition if door open "

Turned mine off no bongs!!

Cheers

Simon

PS I have a none blutooth one...
