Low Life Scum

I'm away on business at the moment. Wifes been away for a couple of days. She got back this afternoon and as she drove onto the drive, unbeknown to her she disturbed some sh.i.ts who were in the process of breaking in to my workshop / garage.

She parked her car, noticed the garage doors had been forced open and went to check at the same time calling me. Let the dog out of the car who ran round by the fence barking like a mad thing.

Once things had settled down, wife went for walk round the garden and found my Makita tool case and a another tool box dumped by the fence. Marks on the fence show where the wonkers made their hasty escape.

The garage door they chose to force open had 4 bolts, 1 yale and 2 internal padlocks. There is a camera right outside the doors, a 6 foot fence all round the property and electric gates which can not be opened without the remote.

To say I'm spitting feathers doesnt come close, want to rip their fookin heads off. I'm hoping this was oppurtunist but will be adding some more layers of security when I'm back this week.

Have my sympathy, sounds like they had their work cut out breaking in,total scum and no excuse for it.Would bring back the stocks if i had my way.
Ive always worked hard for what i have and people dont always see the hard work sacrifice and perseverance to achieve these things, they just want to bloody take and take.
Hope they didnt get much and you can get everything secure as they may come back. Full fat 4.2 Sc

Thanks. I wont know for sure until I am back but looks like nothing else has gone. Could have been worse, classic car, Def 90 and the usuall bunch of tools. Wifes had a good look round and everything seems to be there.

Police not interested, not surprised, low priority nowadays.

Glad plod is coming at last.
I was going to suggest you told them that their getaway vehicle was travelling at 35mph in a 30 limit...they would've been round in a flash Wink If it ain't broken, fix it till it is.

If you get a wireless alarm system it dead easy to fit an extra wireless PIR in the garage. I've done the same for my shed. I've programmed it to be monitored 24hrs a day. I just disable it at the control panel when I go out to the shed.

Cheers,

Ian

they are right little fockers, and there isn't much you can do about them. Unfortunately.

i have put up lights round my garage and fortunately have no open sides to my property so there is only one way in or out without coming through other folks property There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure you all have adequate security in place, I thought the same. It might not hurt to just double check. If you think you might need that extra security light, dummy camera etc - its probably worth fitting it sooner rather than later.

I'm sure some of you have been theough this, its a horrible feeling to know some low life fooker has tried to break in. First time for me in 53 years.

Quick update. Forensics are coming tomorrow, although after 3 days not sure what they will find.

I'm beginning to think the Censored were after my Def 90. Have found bolt croppers in the garden today so they were intent on opening the garage doors and would explain why they wanted to break into the house - maybe for the keys.

Security and cameras have now been increased and this in a very low crime area. God knows how you guys in the city's sleep at night !

Does it record ? Do you need it to ?

I've got wired cameras into a SwannView bod that both records & allows me remote access from my phone.
