Sale of fireworks (explosive ones, not sure about rockets and pretty stuff) to the public has been banned for years here. Only commercial displays are allowed. But, by heck, there are a lot of them at Xmas and New Year. Ron B. VK2OTC

You did exactly what I would have done Stan. My 3 Border Collies are the same and we are normally OK living out in the country but on the odd occasion we do get fireworks I take them out in the car up a green lane to the top of the hill where we can see them without all the noise.

I've got a gundog so fireworks don't stress him.

Hmm, I wonder if that's why all the labs we've had over the past 47 years have never worried about fireworks and other loud noises. Ron B. VK2OTC 2003 L322 V8 Auto 2007 Yamaha XJR1300 Previous: 1983, 1986 RRC; 1995, 1996 P38A; 1995 Disco1; 1984 V8 County 110; Series IIA |

Don't think so, this is a Maltese that we looked after over Christmas while the owner visited family in South Africa. 11 years old as well, doing OK for a Maltese. (ignore the slob behind the dog)

Wow! We used to breed bichons back in the 80's. Gorgeous dogs, and so loving.
