The sloping rear roofline is a theme all manufacturers are taking with all their variants which is indeed proving problematic for me

We spent an hour crawling all over the D5 at the dealer event, The roofline does slope and access is generally poorer than the D4. Oh and don't even get me started on that sorry excuse for a split tailgate replacement

Im on the search for a replacement for the D4 as after owning 5 over the last ten years i want something modern but it has to be practical for my needs. the list to test is:

Dealer let me have a 2017 autobiography for the weekend, I picked it up friday with 20 miles on the clock. As expected its a fine motor but the dogs were not impressed. Discussions this evening centre around justifying keeping the D4 and getting a L405 anyway

Disco is prob gonna be a a more practical and better bet for large dogs, even in D5 form (not had a proper nosey around D5 yet)

66 plates seems good, noticeable improvements in ride, smoothness and kit (although AB not getting adaptive xenons is shocking).

Hopefully LEDs will all be matrix/adaptive when they are fitted and not a cost option.
