it sounds like a leaf caught in a fan but its not.

only does it when engine is warm, ticking is related to engine speed. i see there was a recall on US petrol ones for similar symptoms, is it a known issue? Cheers

I also have a ticking sound, maybe different from yours as I thought mine was coming from injector area assuming I right about injector location.

I also found on mine that a plastic style hose clip was dangling and rubbing on the aux belt front of engine.
I can't see any clips missing so God knows where that came from!

Its due a service amongst other things so I'll feed back if they can shed some light on the ticking sound.
On that note can anyone recommend from their own experience a decent indy in the North West? Failing that I'm happy to travel to get the best service/software updates etc, a night in a holiday inn is not a problem.
