My experience with older cars has been that the air suspension takes a while after starting to get itself to correct operating level and there can be a bit of wheezing. Making it go straight to off road level adds to the effort. I wouldn't regard that as a sign that a sensor is about to go and would just wait with shifting levels until the car is more warmed up, unless you have no alternative. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

It was fine this morning! Compressor and reservoir sensor are new..front struts also within the past year so I was a bit surprised! I think your spot on tbh..i left it a while and it lifted...not sure where the groaning came from? The refusal to go into access mode as well is worrying although it worked fine earlier...maybe stressed her out and its spat the dummy out like they do.. |

Hmm, sluggish operation and noises seem normal to me, but complete refusal to lower would require further investigation. I wonder whether something has happened when the new compressor was installed? Perhaps get a diagnostic test? Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

This is normal if you have your foot on the brake, as the car rises and falls the wheels pass through an arc, this changes the steering and suspension geometry and causes the wheels to move relative to the ground, if you have your foot on the brake the wheels can't move so you are forcing against the bushes and they creak.... don't do it too often, best thing is to leave it in Park with the handbrake off when doing height changes, the small amount of give in the parking pawl will allow them to move enough... Oh, and stop worrying, accept the fact that it WILL go wrong and WILL need fixing, usually at the worst time, and try to enjoy the ownership experience...
