Recently on my 2002 L322 TD6, the sound system is mute. The display Works and I can acces to all the options on it but, no sound at all.

Yesterday, the sound on the system came back again. I don't know the reason.

I had exactly what you describe, sound on and off for no reason.Traced it to a bad connection / connections on the speaker wires to and from the dsp unit.
