Do you think we could get Bono or Geldof interested in this first world problem? |

I believe this is why you are supposed to wear your watch on your left wrist.

At a business dinner many years ago my neighbor was wearing a simple black rubber Swatch. He said he could afford better but once you spend more than 50 dollars on a watch it then becomes a piece of jewelry. He also said that the two things that the bad guys in the world look for before robbing you or kidnapping you was your watch and your shoes. His name was Eduardo Michelin and I have always remembered his philosophy when I hear a discussion of fancy watches or when traveling in more exciting parts of the world. Sadly he died fishing which if you could choose may not be a bad option. May not be much compensation for scratched bit of trim but maybe puts discussion into percpective. |

I think you'll find his name was Edouard Michelin, not Eduardo. Tragic death indeed during a fishing trip. A great man he was, may he rest in peace. While I have great respect for the man, if you follow his way of life, you shouldn't drive around in a luxury car or own anything else that looks remotely expensive. I think if a badly intentioned person would have planned to kidnap him, I'm afraid he wouldn't have been fooled by his cheap watch and shoes. |

Depends. Normally the non-dominant wrist, i.e. left for a right-hander and right for a left-hander. I can wear on either but the crown wears the skin on my hand if it's on the left wrist, hence needing one of these @Frank. I've ordered some cremé Chinos, packed a case. Order the Schnapps and I'll see you in a couple of days |

Readers of the 'Range Rover Specifications' brochure of 2012 (for the then new 405) would have noted that it contains a photograph of Gerry McGovern wearing a watch like this - perhaps it should be listed as a LR approved accessory... Only Range Rovers since 1988 |
