Hi guys

Just had the car in at a local indy looking at a couple of issues. (MY06 S/C)
The guys checked out the DVD in the boot and said that it is the wrong one for this country!!

How the heck does that work?

The disc has 'Europe' on it and is an old one (like 2005 or thereabouts).

Is this true that the disc is wrong? Should it have 'UK' on it?
The LR part number on the disc is: YIW500012

HELP!

thats the same part number that i've used before upgrading....worked ok on my 05 .. ... - .- -.

No - its not working properly at all.

That is why I took it up there for them to check!
I am a little p!ssed about it - 45 min drive to the indy to get told incorrect info!

The sat nav appears to work, but looks like I am in Belgium! or somewhere similar!

When I use the 753 diagnostic, I can get up the GPS info screen, it looks like it sees 12 satellites, but no info in the position at the bottom. THe two columns of info beside each satellite also appear zero or blank.

THe self-test does not throw any fault codes and the guys checked it with the Autologic system and there were no fault codes...

Any ideas??

Do you mean use the calibrate function in the setup menu and reposition the GPS?

Tried that - still get same issue.

I don't think it is working properly. The screen does not have:
'ID' 'St' or 'Lev' information for the satellites
nor does it provide information for latitude and longitude in the position.

Ideas - I would have expected an aerial problem to throw a fault code?

I think Scarey means that the Navs are designed to be used in various European Countries and it needs to be set to UK rather than Belgium!

what gaz said...if yours is like the 2009/10 disc then you go to 'destination entry' and on the left there is a map of europe and a 'change' icon, press that then the 'uk' map.. ... - .- -.

tried that... same menus etc and set it to UK - it was set to Belgium!

however - did not solve the problem...

satellites still not being used and no position held on the diagnostic.

is the GPS antenna easy to get at (on the roof) to try a replacement one?
