What a woman!

I've been reading the rumblings about wife's taking their husbands FFRR's out in the snow recently. We have had a bit more snow than most here and I was still shovelling the white stuff myself today. Anyway, you guy's really need to look in the mirror if you have issues about the love of your life driving your pride an joy in the snow......... Get them trained!!! Shocked

My other half took the FFRR to the hairdresser today. Was I concerned??? NO! Whistle

Later in the day she took the dog for a walk in the woods. As she headed-off from the snow covered car-park she exchanged pleasantries with an elderly chap whose Corsa was parked next to the FFRR and who was just about to put his dog into the Vauxhall and leave.

Five minutes later, SWMBO glanced back at the car-park in the distance and noticed the Corsa hadn’t moved……. Instead of continuing her trudge through the snow with the pouch, she returned to the car-park to check that everything was OK with the gent. Turns out, she was correct to be suspicious…… The Corsa was bogged-down in about 6” of snow and was going nowhere. So what’s a woman going to do??? Rolling Eyes

Firstly, she collects some bits of wood and tried to place them under the Corsa’s front wheels along with a jute sack which was found in the boot of the Corsa. However, it had dug itself in too deep for that.

Now here comes the surprise…… Did she phone for help? No! Shocked

She opens the boot of the FFRR, lifts the spare wheel hatch, removes a tow rope, hitches up the two vehicles and proceeds to haul the Corsa out to within a couple of feet of the main road. All this while the dog looks-on unimpressed. Even more surprising is the fact that she has never use a tow rope in her life before!!! Shocked Shocked

The elderly gent is humble with gratitude and the FFRR gets parked-up for the ‘walkies’ to begin again.

First I hear about all this is over a lovely dinner which (of course) SWMBO prepared while I wasted my afternoon on Internet fora! Whistle

What a gal!!! Razz The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Let's go on Wife Swap Laughing ... My Mrs struggles to open the bonnet, let alone tow a car.

My Mrs also users the FFRR more than me and stopped to help a poor BMW the other day. I'm more concerned about someone else crashing into her especially when rowing someone.

Anybody roccomend a really long tow rope

My SWMBO bought herself a Freelander a few days ago, her third. She is now a very happy SWMBO as the little coupe she had was not as good as she initially thought. One HSE Freelander later and she's got all the toys and a big smile again!

She doesn't drive my FFRR, no idea why, but her FL is an auto too..... Land Rover Addict
