Mk4 Nav Disc Info

Hi All,

looking to put a new disc in a mk4 nav drive and not sure which to go for.

There seems to be three options -

    UK
    UK with cameras
    Europe

My question is whether the UK only maps have more detail as the Europe wide map? Does anybody know?

Is the MK4 a CD or DVD unit ?

I can't remember what's what, but the CD units are only really capable of a single country - but there was a Europe one, but only covered major roads.

The DVD units can take all of Europe (or maybe just western Europe) on a single disc

UK with cameras was never offered by LR and must be a copy of something else - and the cameras constantly change, sop you could never rely on it.

That said, the LR maps are well out of date now, so a copy of some description is probably the way to go......

Should have saide, this is for the BMW DVD retrofit nav unit.

DVD has enough capacity for all of Europe in detail - so I'd go for that disc

I got mine from barris. the mk4 software upgrade and latest maps with speed cameras. post code search is gods end. carphonics
