Driver door window not working

Opened the window which then decided to close by itself; however half way up it stopped - now it's not moving at all, though there sounds to be a clicking noise.

Whilst it was going down I heard some noise - will appreciate some advice regarding what it could be. Does the fact that it make the clicking noise mean that there is power going to the regulator and that the regulator is fubar or should I start by checking / replacing the fuse and the relay

reckon your wire on the Regulator has come off the runner or split. There is also a flimsy piece of plastic that holds the wire end into the regulator and these are known to split and dislodge the wire.

Door card off, have a good look and then get a second hand regulator if required (c. £30-40 in UK)

Easy enough to replace yourself and there are lots of videos to show you how. Thumbs Up

took the door card off and found that one of the cables have broken.

now what to do - does it require a new regulator or can one buy the cables loose

then if one can get the cables loose how do you fit it

Don't faff around trying to get a new wire on (even if u can find a new wire for sale on its own they are a b&gger to fit!) just get a second hand regulator from a breaker or eBay for c.£35. Takes about 1-2hours to fit - plenty of YouTube videos to show u how. Thumbs Up

Yes, make sure you get the correct one for the relevant window. They are all different. Whistle
