Aircon blowing incorrectly

Very weird problem. I have a TD6 and when the air is cool the aircon blows through the front vents.
When the weather gets hot, and you put the fan speed up, you can here the fan blowing more but there is hardly any air coming out the vents in the front, and if you open the rear vents its like all the air is blowing through there.
So dare not open the rear vent now, yet i cannot get the air to blow through the front once i open the rear one.
silly silly thing.
who else has had this and where should i start to look?

I think the blend motor controls the front and the rear has its own blower. Have a Google on blend motor

Thank you , i shall look into that. i wonder if there is a flap that may have closed and stopping the air coming to the front

Frikka, you are most probably right, it's the flaps jamming. There tends to be crud accumulating behind the front vent outlets area and this can jam the flap.

Try removing the pollen filter in the rear of the engine bay and having a look there.
