Just ordered MY2017 4.4 AB for delivery 23rd Jan

What timescales have others been quoted for recent orders please?

Really looking forward to the car - think that the new infotainment is a big step forward for RR.

Carpathian, black roof, deplorable running boards, privacy glass, ebony / ebony with cirus leather headlining and wood / leather steering wheel.

I think that's it - still spec changeable so feel free to advise any must haves.

I would add the adaptive lights and full size spare as these options are bargain priced! Thumbs Up

Good spec & same colour as mine, although i went for Cirrus interior as wanted dark outside & light inside.

Only thing maybe to consider is the deployable running boards as on the MY17, the car drops about 60mm when parking without the need for any intervention (similar to buses) so the need for the running boards for exit/entry is lessened than on earlier models. Also i found the wood/leather wheel to be uncomfortable & awkward when driving as i tend to have my hands at the 10/2 position & thus was always holding the shiny part of the wheel. Obviously if you hold the wheel in a different position it may not have any effect but the shiny part i found slippy & thus not all that safe.

I was also told the extra large washer bottle at about £30 was a must.

Good point. I went for adaptive headlights & as you say it was a fairly low cost, but also have taken the Complete wheel care package so this removed the need for the full sized spare wheel as any wheel or tyre damage/punctures are covered & the number was crazy, i think up to 12 puncture repairs/tyre replacements & up to 16 wheel refurbs/replacements over a 5yr period.

I just love the look of the wood and leather wheel though so i would have it.
Complete wheel care, that sounds good. Still get the full-size spare though as what happens when you are driving in Europe ?
I,m driving abroad mostly so it makes sense for me.

Pretty sure the cover extends to Europe, but i could be wrong. That said mine will likely only cross the Channel once a year but if as you it was regular then a full sized spare makes perfect sense & as you said it's not a huge cost.

Agreed the wheel looks good but shiny in my hands felt awkward so wasn't for me. More likely my driving style.

Thanks for the tips - I know that you can enable the suspension to drop for entry / exit but my thoughts were that I would never enable that mode because I don't like the stately profile of the car diminished by the suspension drop, it just looks all wrong. Maybe I should delete the deplorable running boards from my order, try the car for a month and see how I get on. Extra large washer bottle added.

What do others think?

Spec changed to:

Carpathian, black roof, adaptive headlights, large washer bottle, privacy glass, ebony / ebony with cirus leather headlining.

Thanks for the comments - very helpful.

I'd lose the side steps. My other half is 5"6 and has no problem getting in and out, even at normal ride height. The upgraded headlights are great. I'd go for the full size spare as it's still a cheap alloy/tyre.
