I wan to add a flashing alarm deterrent led to my 2010 l322, The older models had them and i am missing it!, I often park in places where i really think having a flashing alarm led would be beneficial and for good peace of mind

The car is the later TFT dash model

Im just wondering before i start searching thru wiring diagrams etc trying to work out where to get the power from if anyone has done this already or thought about it and or perhaps have knowledge of where i could find such a power feed after the car is locked and shuts down

Well tonight, the night after i posted would you believe i noticed that the car does infact have a flashing alarm led, However it is on the right hand side of the instrument cluster and can only really be seen if you were say looking in thru the passenger door.... How dumb...

Anyway this gives me hope as there must be a circuit to be found to add a better one to which ill make sure is visible from all / most angles

If i succeed ill update this thread with what i did

I was going to post that last night, but have only managed to see mine when looking at an angle through the drivers side rear passenger door.... couldn't explain it very well so decided not to.....
