Does anyone have any advice with these guys?

I bought a plate Monday night for a FF. Paid an extra £20 for their 'fast' service, which isn't all it's cracked up to be!

Apparently you can put a plate from certificate onto a car instantly online, so I've paid £20 for them to do that, with the added hassle of getting my V5 to them!!

Phoned tonight and was told it can take 2 weeks until the plate can go on the car  

I bought a plate via regtransfers, and I had no issues, was on behalf of a customer, took a couple of weeks. Seemed helpful on the phone, but of course they are selling.....

I would buy again from them, no problem.................they have another plate I'd like


I assume the V778 still needs to be issued by the DVLA, and that takes time (i.e. to get your name on as a nominee or owner.

You can transfer plates online, but the vehicle/s must meet some criteria, (taxed or SORN time/ownership) I was un able to an online transfer and had to do it long hand.

Unfortunately I think you will have to be patient Regards

Just a bit annoyed I've paid £20 for a service that is meant to be faster and don't believe it is! 

you could ask for a refund or plates?  Regards

DVLA can be the cause of problems and previous owners. The Audi I had before my current FF spent a period of time untaxed and un sorn at some point in its life and for this reason they wouldn't let me do the transfers online, I even had to use the snail mail method to get the plates off when I bought my FF.

Then when I got the retention docs I had to phone DVLA because the computer said NO.

Bring back the local office.

So it may not be their fault but I would want my money back if the faster service isn't available. Current

Get my plates from the DVLA website, usually get the paperwork in a couple of days, then swap the plate online. Normally all done in 3-4 days from purchase. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
