2002 was when the L322 was launched, so this current shape has always been a better drive than the D3 as the D3 was launched in 04. There have been a few changes along the way, to engine and interior. The RR is much more refined than the D3, or most other cars on the road. You get a lot of car for your money when you buy a used RR, but the TDv8's hold their money well. Hope this answers some of your questions. Dan |

When looking for my FF I test drove both the TDV6 and the petrol Discovery 3.

Clarkeson bought a 2007 Vogue SE with the TDV8 engine I believe.

If your used to the D3 and terrain response and touch screen Nav etc I would go for a 2007+ model and the TDV8 is a very refined vehicle indeed. I had a D3 Metrepolis LE (top of range) for three years and I can assure you the FRRR TDV8 is a much much better car - in a different class altogether in fact. |

All TR does is select the settings automatically that one would normally select manually. IE rocks = low ratio, high suspension and disable DSC. I don't think TR has any extra settings that cant be selected manually with a pre-TR vehicle? I believe the 2010 is completely different with its adaptive dynamic adjustable shocks... |
