Clicking noise

So when driving every now and then I get a clicking noise coming from the bulkhead area, wether that's behind the dash i don't know. I have opened the bonnet trying to hear it, but its drowned out by the engine noise. Can anone suggest what it may be?

Maybe a few clues first. Maybe tell us what model, and fuel etc. And year.
Engine on and off? Moving, or moving and stationary. .

As I mentioned before its when i am driving but also when sitting still in Neutral I can hear it. its not at the same beat sometimes sways away from that but a clicking noise none the less. Someone said it could be from the heater section but I am unsure!

switch the fan off and see if it still makes that noise...could be a dry leaf caught in the fan.. ... - .- -.

I experienced something similar. Bit annoying at first, but eventually figured out mine was the fuel burning heater.

The variation in temperature when it came on was the clue ,But then again do what I did at first and turn up the radio Rolling with laughter
