Range Rover Failure: 5.0L Lawsuit.

I have seen enough of the "treatment" of JLR customers by JLR regarding a "wonderful" design of timing gear which was redesigned. Which has had failures reported as early as 44,000 miles on rangerovers.net and one earlier than that reported on jaguarforums.com and they denied him warranty over the "rock solid" excuse that 5-30 caused the issue.

If anyone would like to join this suit I have several ex Land Rover employees who are willing to testify the engine design was, who can guess? If we can find and then prove they knew about it in discovery I believe we will be entitled to triple damages as a punitive measure. I believe we may also be entitled to attorney fees. This could easily become a very big case with big damages.

If anyone would like to join this lawsuit please email me at cliff@midatlanticseo.com. My father will likely be in charge of either the case or choosing an excellent litigator depending upon the size and damages of this lawsuit.

Please provide any information about failures you have witnessed or occurred to your vehicle, it would be much appreciated.

If anyone wants to sue land rover in the USA directly they take service at 555 MacArthur Blvd, Mahwah NJ 07430 and please be aware in the USA case law precedent has already established the reasonable life of a car at 6 years and 100,000 miles not dependent upon if you are the original owner. Also it does not matter if you have since sold your Range Rover as long as you have receipts showing the cost of the repairs. OffRoadRover.com An American Western Range Rover Off Road Blog

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey

I've never had a 5.0SC, but have considered getting one because I thought it might be less trouble than a diesel. Is this problem relevant to recent 405s or does it apply only to older cars? Only Range Rovers since 1988

A master mechanic says the issue affects at the very least to 2013 as he fixed a 2013 with timing issues that needed a new top. However there is some thought the redesigned timing gear may also fail as there are reports on here and orher places of fixing the tensioners and still having the engine destroy itself via loose timing.

A big issue is these engines are stupid expensive to repair or replace. if you go 5.0sc I would have the car under warranty then sell it the first time it gives trouble.

They actually made the camshaft sprocket torque part of the timing and then published the wrong torque in topix so it is very difficult to fix properly.

I hope that we can force a recall/special service campaign in addition or lieu of damages paid. OffRoadRover.com An American Western Range Rover Off Road Blog
