My fullfat is shortly due a service so as I have only owned the car for a year I thought I'd go to guy salmon Stockport and give them a chance to quote me a price even though I have always steered well clear of main steelers (My previous car was a BMW 530 and bmw main steelers are terrible in my experience) I entered the showroom and spoke to lady on reception and asked to see someone from the service dept. She told me to take a seat and someone would speak to me,I waited for 10 mins and got a coffee (very nice) then the service manager( I think that's who it was) asked me if he could help and I told him I wanted to speak to someone about a service for my fatty,he said someone would be out to see me shortly.well 30mins later after watching lots of salesmen milling about i gave up and walked out.Perhaps it was because I was wearing jeans and t-shirt and not a suit and tie.Think I'll go back to my BMW independent who knows fatty and is someone who I can trust.guy salmon have a nice fancy showroom though but I won't be going back in a hurry.Perhaps they are so busy they aren't bothered about private customers but I think they may come unstuck with that attitude or maybe I was a one off. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

You can see why people use indys and then stick with them. The bmw indy I use always rings when he says he will and doesn't rip me off. Granted my car doesn't get washed and there's no TV to watch but I'll happily give them a miss for a good service. It does make you wonder why land rover doesn't get to grips with their dealers because they have an awful reputation and it will one day catch up with them. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

Been into Guy Salmon in Stockport. If you want t buy one they are round you like flies round S%%t. Once you've bought they don't really care. Williams Land Rover are far better iMHO.

yup main dealers are all rip off cheats I hate them just as much as estate agents ... solicitors ... accountants all have no obligations apart from smiling when they hand you the invoice hopefully my latest car will see me out

interesting comments guys which I generally agree with wholeheartedly however I recently went into Guy Salmon Sheffield and as far as the stealers go it was almost a refreshing experience! I accept one visit is one visit but it was efficient, lower bill than I expected (decent coffee!) and a bit of care....but Stratstone Nottingham OMG! turned a 30 min job into 3 hours and then couldn't tell me anything i didn't already know...my bad I suppose  D3 TDV6 SE 2006

I bought my previous FF from Guy Salmon Stockport, and whilst still in the 2 yr approved warranty period I vowed never to deal with them again. Sorry but I can't think of one good thing to say about the after sales service I got.

yep jeans and tshirt will do it ,you own a ff how dare you had that problem at a m cycle shop when alot younger saved all year for ducati went to dealer in work clothes would,nt even let me sit on it was so sorry when i showed him the 20.000 pounds in my bag to buy it
