L322 20" Alloy quality

Pot holes are everywhere but I had no recollection of hitting anything special prior to experiencing vibration through the steering at 70mph in my 2012 Vogue recently. Inspection by the national tyre fitters I use identified a deformed front alloy. Worryingly, they tell me no other original specification 20" wheel they encounter is as vulnerable to this kind of damage. Assurances to the contrary would be welcome.

I've never heard of anyone damaging a 20" FFRR wheel on potholes Shocked

It's only the cheap copy 22's that seem to suffer

Never heard of the gen LR 20" deforming, however saying that I have bent a 19" LR rim with no visible damage to the tyre. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You really need to be talking to the local council that owns the pot hole..... If you can prove it was their road then they are liable... They are insured against things like this Whistle

Most peeps wouldn't bother, but a new 20" rim from the stealers will come with the usual Big Cry price attached...

Good luck, and don't let them fob you off, they are insured against this very thing.... although they might be quick to pass it off to another council... rather depends who's road it is Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I will admit noting has hurt mine yet, the only thing that damaged the rim was a sharp rock when off roading in Wales
