I made arrangements to collect the teak boot floor this weekend and the seller said that it had been "damaged by a leak in the roof of the storage facility!"

I reckon that his mates told him he was mad to sell a £12k bit of kit for under a grand and he cancelled the order to sell it at a higher price.

Damaged by a leak - I thought teak was weatherproof
Sounds suspicious

IF it was unvarnished you can get a little marking from fresh water but the bright orange colour is easy to restore with oxalic acid and if it was varnished or oiled nothing at all should mark it , my concern is if it has watermarked it's not solid teak and is made from crappy veneer on a ply base . 2008 MY Supercharged
