Prices have dropped vastly but as I said I've cleared the codes not used the car as yet today but what I did notice is I don't hear the usual squeak, squeak, squeak sound of the cleaning of the EGR valves.

Wife just drove to her mothers and as soon as she left the garage the light popped up on the dash.

Just did a search on bay of thieves and 2x genuine EGR valves are £359.00.

I don't follow the EGR/turbo links. Apparently, they cause the turbo to "overspeed" but a faulty EGR wouldn't allow it to overspeed. A split turbo hose on the other hand, would cause that, and they are a whole lot more common failure |

Personally I think it's because people drive it with defective EGR's and this overheats the engine in specific areas, then causes damage to the turbos... pure speculation but some people will drive their FF's with all sorts of faults... |

I suspect it is to do with the oil feed pipe becoming restricted, causing poor oil flow and subsequent wear/failure |
