I have a 2010 FFRR, with TFT display in place of traditional gauges. I have a question about locking it without setting the interior alarm sensors so that I can leave the dog in the car.

I know that I can lock it without the interior alarm sensors (or tilt sensor for that matter) by choosing the appropriate setting from the system menu, however that setting is reset to default when I unlock it again. It's also a bit of a faff finding the right setting. Typically, I've already switched the ignition off before I remember that I need it.

Is there a simpler / quicker way? On my 2002 FFRR pressing the remote lock button twice within a few seconds would do the job. On the 2010, this enables superlocking so behaves entirely differently.

My quick peruse of the manual today didn't turn up anything useful, except that LR think this is most commonly used to prevent the alarm going off on ferries. Obviously whoever wrote the manual doesn't have a dog! Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

I'd not had mine long when someone at work said my alarm was going off. I'd left the sunroof tilted as it was hot.

Perusal of said manual later - if you don't superlock, the interior sensors are not on.

So if I want the sunroof open, I only press the lock button once....

Not had an issue since.... should be fine for your doggie....

Yep I agree with what he says ^^^^^^^^

I've been looking after my daughters dog while she's on holiday IF I leave it in the car for very short period (read very very very short period 3 minutes max before anyone starts) and always with a window or sunroof open. One press locks without the movement sensors. Also handy if you just want to leave the car with the sunroof open while you nip in somewhere a get a coffee or butty to take away. Happily I've long since forgotten what work is - even though I appear to offer kennelling for free.  Geoff

i thought the double lock just disabled the doors from opening from the inside. so a single lock we are saying is the same to alarm function is disabling the int alarm through menu settings? Cheers
