FFRR TFT Dashboard display

.

A Special Thank You To AndrewS - He's a chap that leaves rubbish comments when members seek help as yesterday we found.

Yesterday we had a problem with one of or FFRR TFT displays - and as AndrewS got this forum off to a bad start we decided to take the thing apart today and fix it which was quite a easy job to do.

and Thanks to AndrewS on here we went a stage future and modified the on screen

So a clap hands to AndrewS that thinks others members do not know what they are doing and we all work at Tesco's !!!! - AndrewS Think outside the box and its possible.

Its a shame that theirs always one that seems not to help - I have learn t a lesson yesterday

OK, someone have a sense of humour failure? I saw your note yesterday and my intention was simply a lighthearted comment made whilst reading this forum on my way home from long day at work, where I earn my corn thinking outside the box.

I am no techie, but I know lots on here are and they probably understood what you had written. Thing is, I didn't, so made an attempt at humour I see others use on here.

Apologies if that caused any offence, none was intended. I simply didn't understand what the post was about.

Andy

Hi Andy , it seemed clear you were making a joke and as no one was asking how to help someone having a heart attack it seemed OK to me. Just my humble opinion 2015 4.4 AB

.

AndyS - apology accepted.

What displeases me is that we are all on here to be "PART OF A TEAM" to help each other out and fix and maintain our beloved FFRR -

Someone on here will need help at some stage - all of us have our expertise in certain areas !

What I did not like is someone saying "don't get involved with something you don't understand" - That's part of my job to think outside the box and deal with situations or any problems that arise.

I understand electronics far more than the average person - and with all the official workshop manuals there's not much I cant solve or figure out on the FF.

I was seeking Forum advice in the first instance - nothing more nothing less.

All I can say - is just word a reply a bit better because someone on here might want help like I did.

We will forget anything happened.

Shocked I thought this was a self help group... therapy for self harming Range Rovers Wink

Impressive dash display.... now can you make the ffrr go as well as the Air Bus?

Whistle I assume that is an example of what is possible rather than a permanent display, only don't you need a speed indication? And is it reverse engineerable.. of is that reserved for the later ffrr's Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

That's the display that shows when you open a door with the ignition off... the car wakes up and that shows for a few min if you don't do anything.... just to help flatten the battery! If you put the ignition on it is replaced by the dials....

How did you do it then? I say your post but it had just full stops in your post so had no idea what the post was really about at the time....

Rolling Eyes Oh so it's like the Land Rover badge on the nav screen.... gone with the key Wink Pitty was thinking about anti-clockwise dials for a kick-off ..... that would have been cool Cool Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Check that is not getting too hot.
Shield it from direct sunlight through the windscreen when it is parked up, and also it might be worth checking that the cold air fan is running correctly.
