My 2004 L322 Vogue overheated in France and arrived back in the UK (after 5 weeks in France) on Monday afternoon and was dropped off at the garage for me.

Won't the key physically work in the lock? ______________________________

If it's a 2004 model then the key should physically work in the drivers door...unless the linkage has become disconnected internally. Unfortunately it's a common problem that people only find out about when the battery goes flat.

Why go commando?? Even in the army we had reme and the op's post said it was at the garage. Sure they'll have an easy way of lifting it off the floor.

Mines on the drive and it's dark and wet, just brought back many memories. I didn't read that it was at a workshop, my bad. ______________________________

Clearly there's a good reason yours has gone flat in this case, however as a general rule, I think it's smart to change the battery at least every 3 y - there are so many reports of problems caused by low voltage, it seems to be to be fairly cheap preventative maintenance |
