Well yesterday was the first time since I have owned it, that I had the opportunity to drive my FFRR in the snow. My work van was stuck, but when I jumped in the Rangey, all I can say is, what snow! Effortless! Reformed

Yes i had my first drive yesterday, pulling away was fine but stopping still felt a little hairy at times. 2004 black Vogue TD6

Stopping is always the main issue.. not so much on the snow but definately the Ice.

Our street double up as the winter Olympic tobogan run thanks all those that make it highly polished with there tyres spinning like their life depended on it.

Drove through about 16 inch of snow yesterday, as you said, "What snow?!"

I'm sure some of you will know about the Range Rover publicity stuff from 1970, called "A car for all reasons".

It never ceases to amaze me that even 40 years on the Range rover can do so many things so well.

This week I've been driving in snow and on ice and have still got to work every day, other than Thursday when I took the day off to use the FFRR to get shopping for my retired neighbours that couldn't get out (or get thier cars out). Then to top it off on Friday, just as I am leaving work at 4pm one of our Irisbus Ivecos breaks down on a steep hill. Out I go, hitch a tow rope on and pull all 5500kg of it with absolutely no drama whatsoever.

I even got to pull the local butcher back onto the road this morning after he tried to avoid an oncoming car and slid on the compacted snow that has turned into ice on the backroads. Always handy to have a proper recovery rope and a few shackles in the back.

I just can't think what else you could buy and drive that would have anything like the breadth of ability, comfort and luxury all in one vehicle.

I am more of a fan than I was before.
