Windscreen upper seal

I have an 04 but am being told that DCB500050PMD is superceded by DCB500210PMD - anyone know if it will fit the 04? I have conflicting information with some suppliers saying it will only fit 2010-12 cars. 2004 L322 V8

Depends on where you are shopping for parts, some sellers have have part number listings that do not show supersessons, and will treat what their software says as gospel, the new part number may only be listed for the later models.
Be here is the list of supersessions, the new part number is now LR023381

Can this be changed while the windscreen is still on the car?

Rave says it can be removed but also says to install it before refititng a new screen. 2004 L322 V8
