I personally would stick with ZF’s recommendation, which is to change the oil and filter every 50,000 to 75,000 miles (or 8 years).

Not another gearbox that if you wait to change the oil at LR's recommendation, it will be too late and the box is done for..... thought that they'd have learnt with the TD6 up.... Obviously they don't learn from their mistakes and we are left to bear the fruits of their incompetency Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

That is the fluid on the Advanced Factors site for LR 8 Speed Gearboxes - there is only one of those the ZF8. It doesn't have "Lifeguard 8" written on it anywhere but the Fleabay advert uses the name. However,does have the LR 023288 compliance. |
