I don't think my 07 TDV8s did, neither of them. The 4.4 from 2010 on definitely does.

Our 57 plate definitely does not have one.

As I understand it, the DPF was not required on the TdV8 to meet Euro 4 regs. They were, however, fitted to the 4.4 version, as that met Euro 5 ... Regards,

This dpf thing is country / region specific,

In Australia they are not on either TDV8's, Many people (particularly with the 4.4) think they have one when they in fact do not, I guess that means many people are paying extra for a dpf friendly engine oil when they do not need to

I know my 2008my didn't have one, but my 4.4 does have one. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My 3.6 doesn't have one. 2010

DPF was optional from 2008 on as quoted in W/S Manual:

"On vehicles from 2008 Model Year (MY), an optional DPF is available. The non-DPF exhaust system is also
available on vehicles from 2008MY as the DPF is not required to comply with EU4 emissions regulations."

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it seemed marginally better than starting a new one and the matter didn't really seem to get settled. I have the same question as the original poster. How do I tell whether my 2010 TDV8 3.6 has DPF or not?

So far:

- I've checked the build sheet on Topix, which just says EU4 emissions (and helpful things like diesel fuel capability - yes, I'd worked that out myself )

- I've looked at Microcat, which seems to suggest no DPF up to VIN 9Axxxxxx and with DPF from AAxxxxxx onwards.

Mine has VIN AA318097 and was first registered 03-Mar-2010. It has the TFT virtual gauges.

I guess that means I have DPF, but it would help me to know. Why do I want to know? Just because I feel slightly uncomfortable not knowing!

I've only ever seen folk with a 4.4 TDV8 complain about DPF messages and regeneration. Maybe I've missed all those for the 3.6.

Have a look at the exhaust, if you have dpf you will have a rake of upstream and down stream sensors, no sensors no dpf7

Nothing I can see other than Cat and back box and straightforward pipes in between. Guess that.means no DPF, then. Now that I look really carefully at Microcat I see that there are options for Euro 4 with or without DPF. If the DPF was an option that cost money in 2010, I can't see many people having ticked that option. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322
