RAVE

Now I know my generation isn't completely computer literate but I'm not a total idiot. I have downloaded rave several times (including from this site) and usually get blank or unopenable files. I have got one copy that actually has a load of pdf files that I can see but the best of them only gives exploded diagrams and explanations of what the mechanical bits are. Can someone give me a SIMPLE explanation of where the files are that tell you which bits to remove in which order to get at stuff ? A la a Haynes manual ? I run a Macbook pro so is this maybe the issue ?

Thanks in advance folks.

You should end up with a folder with files in..... You should have a rave executable file that you run, that works the pdfs for you.

Don't think you can access them directly....

I created a shortcut to that executable from my desktop.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

If you are running a Mac, you may need to create a virtual machine running Windows XP, then, having placed all the downloaded files there, run the RAVE executable, this will open up the program that displays all the pdfs for you .....

Many copies of RAVE are security protected, meaning this is the only way to fully view everything. .

The RAVE program itself is just a fancy way of indexing the pdf's and if all you want is the manuals it can be bypassed and just view the pdf's directly.

Download the Rave zip file which is in the Wiki:
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0Byv5LFgQZql...t=download

Once downloaded unzip the folder to create an expanded Rave folder (which if you have pdf's you have probably got that far).

On a Mac either just stick in Finder search 'wmln022n' which is the 'Service Procedures' Manual or search through the 'Rave/pdf/LM' folder for the same.
The other manuals for the L322 are in the same folder, you've been looking at 'wmln021n' which is 'System Description and Operation' manual.

If you don't want to download then there is an online version of the same here:
http://workshop-manuals.com/landrover/l322...ition_nas/

Bear in mind that they all are the North American manuals, the Wiki doesn't contain UK manuals only an individual copy of the UK System Description & Operation Manual.

You can buy paper copies of the official manuals published by Brooklands Books:
Part Number LRL0477 is the UK L322 2002-2005 Workshop Manual (Service Procedures)
Part Number RR02KEMBB is the UK L322 2002-2005 Electrical Library and Electrical Circuit Diagrams combined

I think I remember have some trouble at first but then found the PDF files. I use Nook or other PDF viewers. Works fine.
