Message on instrument cluster

Got an unusual message on my full fat this morning: 'special programmes off'

Anyone know what that's supposed to mean!?

That's normally associated with a battery low condition. The cranking drops the battery voltage low enough that some of the ECUs get confused.

Probably means "special programmes off" - sorry couldn't resist.

My last RR used to do it, related in my case to Terrain Response programmes, you want 'em off anyway for normal driving. I used to just ignore it.

But as pointed out the battery on my old car was never great, Geoff

Happened on mine on start up when the battery was on the way out - probably best to get it checked and replaced in advance of winter if required (or of course it will let you down in the least convenient way possible....) 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

yep, check the battery and alternator before winter sets in, mine used to do that occasionally, normally nothing actually wrong with the drivetrain usually power related. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
