Android stereo faults

I have this Android stereo and there is a few problems with it.
1. wifi wont turn on from the menu. I have taken the unit out and the aerial is connected.
2. when you plug a ipod into it. It will only display the name of the ipod and no music.
3. when you get a incoming call it only displays the number and not the name.
4. I would like to change the colour of the display to green.
5. also where have people mounted the mic for the hands fee?
anyone else have these problems?

1. wifi wont turn on from the menu. I have taken the unit out and the aerial is connected.

As a security feature, in some systems Wi-Fi is inhibited (other than as a hotspot) if there is a 3G/4G broadband connection. Could this be the reason?

2. when you plug a ipod into it. It will only display the name of the ipod and no music.

How are you connecting the iPod? Presumably through a USB connection. When I asked at Erisin they said that the head unit does not support iPod, so I suspect that the only way to get music in through USB would be using a third party generic app.

I have connected my iPod through a dock direct to the DSP.

3. when you get a incoming call it only displays the number and not the name.

Have you sync'd the contact list between phone and head unit?

4. I would like to change the colour of the display to green.

I presume by this you mean the backlighting of all the buttons around the display? If so, Home>Settings>Elements enables you to tune the RGB backlighting to suit your car.

5. also where have people mounted the mic for the hands fee?

At the top of the O/S A pillar where it meets the head-lining.

HTH

Taken the aerial out and it's connected, iPod is a lead in the glove box with the iPod adaptor on it, phone book has been synchronised and I have looked in the menu and there is no way I can change the colour display. The microphone is mounted in the same position as you are one and when I receive a call is very hard for them to hear my voice

Colour of buttons is under "element" in the settings... If that's not there it's under factory settings, code to get in there is 126

Internal mic is useless, run an exterior one up to the top of the driver's A pillar..

It will only work with very old iPods IIRC, stick all your music on a 32GB micro SD card and plug that in the unit...

None of them show names when you get a call from the oldest ones I've fitted upto 5.2.... even with the phone book uploaded... rather daft but no massive issue...

Can't help with wifi, try a reset... or do like I suggested on the other thread... Thumbs Up Pete
