As an alternative to the messy drain plug/filter approach, you might try one of the inexpensive oil extractor pumps readily available on eBay and Amazon. Just put the supplied tube down either the dipstick tube or oil filler cap, operate the pump and it sucks out oil without drama or mess. 2006MY 4.2 SC
