This is why wax is important. If applied correctly, it will form a layer between the dirt and paint that will stop the dirt 'sticking' to the paint. The better (more expensive) the wax, the greater this effect will be. I only have to do a very basic wash once a week to maintain the finish. I would usually expect to have to re-do the wax every 6 months or so, I tend to do october and April for the 'full monty' cleans, then basic wash and dry in between. The other added bonus to good quality carnauba wax is it will stop uv damage to paint (think of the red cars that go pink, this is uv damage). It really pays to protect your paint as much as possible, and will be infinitely cheaper than resprays! 2009 Westminster. Mariana black with ivory leather. |
