Hi all, I have just replaced the rear discs, pads and handbrake shoes, and would like to know the correct adjustment on the handbrake adjuster wheel. ie with the wheel adjuster fully on with the hub locked up how many clicks (backing off) in the opposite direction to achieve the correct brake pressure.

Have a search there's a guide somewhere on here which I followed when I did mine to reset it after replacing rear discs.

Re the wheel I think it suggests 8 clicks back but I found when I did this many it failed its mot for not holding on the hand brake. I adjusted it again by tightening it till the wheel wouldn't spin then clicked it back one, made sure the wheel was free to move and that was fine passed the mot and holds like a dream.

With the reset procedure you do feel a bit silly driving round then pulling the switch for the hand brake to stop yourself in the road.
