Sat waiting at traffic lights today I noticed the reflection of the front of the FF in the rear of the car in front (it was a POLO) It was rather amusing and I decided to kill time by trying to get behind different cars to find which gave the best results. Hatchbacks with low glass levels can give some weird reflections - a bit like the old wavy mirrors at the fair - and some colours are terrible at reflecting but the best in my admittedly short survey was an old RAV4 in a rip off version of British racing green. The colour and the smooth finish of the spare wheel cover reflected the front of the FF nicely. By the way, I do have a life, it was just a rather sad way of passing the time in rush hour traffic..... QUID FACIUM TIBI

Yes well, I drive around town with the driving lights on (the round ones). I always check in the reflection of the car in front to make sure both sides are on.

I took my teenage son into town a few Saturday afternoons ago, it was a very sunny day, shades on, sunroof open, window down, slouched with right hand at 12 0 clock (well they are auto's after all) then Will Smith 'Miami' came on the stereo and I started nodding to it, Dad! Came the shout from the passenger seat you're 57 and not a drug dealer! Behave!... |

Well, the first post got me thinking, about having some fun.I am going to squirt some brake fluid up the exhaust, using a syringe, 5-10ml. and once the exhaust gets hot , white smoke emanates, giving the impression that all is not well , and puffs nicely when pulling away.

In the days of the Mk1 Cortina, I converted the old manual screenwash to an electric pump - leaving a perfectly reasonable manual pushbutton with no purpose in life. So rigged it up to give a squirt of Redex into the carburettor - instant smokescreen!! |
