VIN service record

Is it possible to check from the VIN whether certain jobs have been done on my 2006MY 4.2 SC?

In particular I'm thinking of the front brake hose recall and the supercharger pump running backwards issue? 2006MY 4.2 SC

Only at a dealer.
They should have a record of the VIN and work carried out like recalls and warranty issues in the dealer network. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I'm guessing you are thinking about the supercharger coolant pump. As far as I'm aware, that's not subject to any recall. Of course it should be but, having had the reduced engine performance recently, I've done a bit of reading on the subject and found nothing to suggest JLR will take any responsibility for the problem.

Brake hoses a different story. Give your VIN to your local dealer and he'll tell you if it's been done. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Is this info only available from main dealers, or do the Indys have access to the JLR system? 2006MY 4.2 SC

As far as I'm aware, main dealer only. It's them that usually do any recall work because it's not charged. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged
