New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I should just get it and convert it into a full EV !!!! Just need to find four decent e-motors, controller and a bunch of batteries. The engine bay is big enough to fit a BIG battery pack me thinks Wink. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Yes Rob, and I would LOVE to do it.

I'm looking for investors for my business plan to develop the concept of FFV to EV conversion on a large scale but of course that is going to take a bit of time !! So this one may not be the first prototype we'll build Laughing MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Eugene there is a company in the states that sells tesla battery packs and motors.

I bet they do all the other bits you need to also enable fast charging and in your part of the world plenty of sub to charge it up Wink would be much quicker than standard with a standard rear tesla motor in the back and the front 😂

Not sure how the internal canbus system would like it mind and the digital dash would be fun! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

ZF now do the 8sp with a plug in hybrid system, the motor being built into the transmission in front of the TC.

So you could have 4.4L tdv8 - electric motor - 8speed, with a battery pack in the boot. Not sure how you would get the charging system to work from the engine, mahoosive alternator perhaps......

But in theory that is doable, indeed I think it's what the 405 hybrid runs, albeit with a Smaller engine. though a full electric ff is v interesting. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

NMJ, if it comes to working on JLR products, I have a secret weapon Smile. A good friend who used to work for them in the "software" area shall we say Smile. So when it comes to integration of software systems, that angle should be covered !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Happy to help Ev, I think one of the EVwest guys has a YouTube channel and shows things all along the way as he's done a VW bus, and made his own powerwall iirc. The tesla batteries are very good as they have their own cooling circuit as well so you could leave the stock radiator and header tank in there and maybe an FBH so that in cooler conditions he cain and batteries can be pre heated for better performance. Could keep the stock filler cap as well and have a 10litre diesel tank for the FBH as well.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
