Yea, I did a quick Google search and seems a common issue that is sometimes resolved with a battery reset. I have checked the volume just incase but still nothing?

I will try a reset later.

another possible problem could be water ingress in the electronics cubby hole. ... - .- -.

Yea it appears they suffer with water getting in and upsetting all the modules in the rear left compartment.

Right then, fuses checked, and battery disconnect done but still no sound. Is the amp right at the back in the cubby hole under the nav drive and DVD player???

Try wiggling the two speaker plugs on the top of the dsp module with the radio on. Lost the sound on mine as you have and I found it to be a bad connection in one of the plugs. Cleaned the connections up and all has been well since.

Yes the black vertical box at the rear below the sat nav. You need to be looking at the two plugs on top nearest the centre of the car. Thumbs Up

I had same problem. Water/damp had damaged my amp. Found one on fleabay for £180, worked fine. Year later it stopped working and same problem, water damaged. Pulled out the boot cover and my boot was inches deep in water, I had never noticed.

Found another amp for similar price and bought a new boot seal this time. Year later and still bone dry. Not Galway but Balmoral green actually

OK Gents,

Had a good look tonight, had the units out but still no sound so i think the amp itself is at fault,

However before i took it all out everything worked perfectly minus the sound but now the system wont boot up. The land rover screen stays on and the amber light flashes??? All connections are good, surely just by disconnecting modules they cant fail?? I have checked the MOST optic system and the BT module wont pass the optic signal so i have bypassed the module by joining the optic leads to allow the optic signal to move to the next module. The TMC receiver is also doing the same but i ran out of time so will try to bypass this in the morning.

Im assuming the system is trying to boot but the MOST system is detecting faulty modules?? Will the MOST system run with modules bypassed?

Has anybody suffered similar issues??

Yes & yes sir... The MOST ring will try to boot up until you find the one (or more) modules now not working...
May i suggest you go through and check for bad plugs (water contaminated/green) and report back with your findings... Usually there will be some age/condensation/water ingress damage on a FF of your age and once the “bits & bobs” in the rear corner have been disturbed! Your issues can be found Rolling Eyes

Right then, had another good go today, good news, all back up and running, no signs of any water but still no sound!!!!

I have checked the modules for fuses as some people have said the radio module has an external fuse but mine hasn't?? I have

Phone module
Nav drive
DVD
Logic 7 module (Amp)
Tmc
Radio module
Rse module at the front standing up lengthways I believe??

I'm guessing the amp or radio module must be at fault causing my lack of sound????
Now it's all up and running I will check these for power tommorow. Does the radio module feed the amp?
