Alan, not had this myself but I did go through te indignity of being unable to open the lower glovebox. (flat battery) If you want a laugh actually, read here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic2588.html?highlight=let

Cheers for that, I did wonder about the opening mechanism taking too much current but it "blows" as soon as I turn on the ignition rather than when I hit the button to open the box.

Sadly not, no. I have another new switch but I haven’t had the time, or the decent weather to check for a pinched wire somewhere behind the dash. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Well I have the same after having the box out to install steps so my glove box is in my office will have a look next weekend if I find anything will let you know |

Mine started when I ran a power cable to feed an external sat nav, so I’m convinced it’s a pinched cable somewhere tha I just need to find. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
